Business Cards

I don't know how much Hollywood has sexed up the business card industry, but thanks in no small part to Vistaprint.com this writer now gets to be one of "those people". We all know what people I'm referring to, the people mingling at social gatherings, mouth agape, almost drooling over the wait for the perfect opportunity to say something like "I'm Britain Brantley, Keyboard for Hire, here's my card." with just a hint of pretension. I'm of the mindset that having a business card really validates a persons' operation and while I could be in the wrong there, those Wall Street Yuppies can't all be wrong. I really do feel this grand sense of general accomplishment having ordered and received some two-hundred-odd little brown pieces of card-stock with my name and email on them. Maybe its the psychosomatic effects of seeing one's name in print, but I like to believe its something greater, I like to at least pretend that what I'm feeling is a disturbing quantity of long-term clientele coming my way. I know that I have  a lot of work still to do before this business starts to really take off, but I'm starting to believe its a reality and not some silly fantasy.

I really think they turned out wonderfully, but I suppose Elizabeth Flanagan has a lot to do with that.
She also took these great photographs (credit where credit is due and all that)
